Gloss Heavy Gel Medium is a heavy-bodied medium with high density and viscosity. It dries to a translucent gloss finish. This heavy gel increases body, density, and viscosity, achieving the consistency of oil paint with visible brush or palette knife marks. Extending the paint while enhancing brilliance and transparency allows it to remain workable longer than other gel mediums.

Use it as an extender, ground, or binder for powdered pigments to make inexpensive, " student-grade" extra-heavy-viscosity thick gloss paint.

APPLICATION: AS EXTENDER: Mix with Liquitex Soft Body Artist Colour or Liquitex Heavy Body Professional Artist Colour to increase colour viscosity and body, extend volume, increase transparency, and colour brilliance.

AS GROUND: When creating a sculptural ground, apply adequate pressure to force the gel into the raw canvas to ensure proper bonding. After the gel is dry, apply paint over it.

AS COLLAGE: Excellent adhesion for collage and decoupage.
